Since it’s the last two weeks before Christmas, I figured it’s the perfect time to let you all in on my wish list this holiday season. In case you need some inspiration of your own, or… want to mail me a gift. You know, whichever.
Half the items on this list I’m really hoping Santa drops down my chimney, and the other half are totally impractical and too expensive, but caught my eye this season in case Daddy Warbucks is reading. Ready, Santa?
1. A pancake batter bowl with a lid.(source)
How do I not own one already?! Aren’t pancakes my favorite food? Hmph. I especially like one made by none other than the oh so practical Rachael Ray.
2. Hunter rainboots.
Perfect for the ridiculous rainy weather here on the east. I already have ones from Target, but these are a lot more durable and go up higher onthe leg, which is helpful considering it basically monsoons here in D.C. lately. I love that you can buy cozy fleece liners to pair with them, too!
3. These amazing Frye boots.
After seeing them on another blog, I was in love. Too bad they are so flippin’ expensive! I’ve owned another pair of Fryes since ’08, and I adore them. They withstand the test of time for their price. And I want to be a cowgirl.
4. An electronic food scale.
I mean, do I really do-or-die need one? No, not at all… but they’re pretty sweet if you need exact measurements of things like cheese or pasta, like this one from Williams and Sonoma! But let’s be honest- I would love to receive absolutely anything and everything on the shelves of Williams and Sonoma. Even their stinkin’ pancake mixes.
5. Nike Frees.
I think these would be great for all of my workouts that are not running-focused, especially since I’ve been running far less often in the past few months. And really, I just like the bright colors they come in.
6. A pretty, bright colored camera strap for my DSLR.
Etsy has a bajillion. All would do just fine. I’m all about accessories.
7. A Tiffany’s heart lock and key pendant.
I’ve mentioned it on the blog before, but I still love this necklace! I’m not much of a jewelry person, but I think it’s a very timeless piece, especially if given to you by someone special.
8. Gift cards to my favorite yoga studios.
Oh would I ever love it if someone paid for me to have a wonderful yoga experience. That would be basically the best gift ever, considering I’m majorly out of yoga shape, as my body painfully learned the other day.
9. A KitchenAide stand mixer.
Talk about an appliance crush. Don’t get me wrong, my standard hand mixer (with the beaters that pop out so you can lick off the extra mashed potatoes) does the trick very well in just about every situation… but a KitchenAide? Just straight fancy.
This is probably never, ever going to enter my life until I’m about 40 and have near-grown children, but a girl can dream right?
10. A new purse.
Growing up, my parents always bought me a new handbag for Christmas, because I’m a huge sucker for purses. I don’t even have one in particular in mind for this year, but I think they’re usually a good bet for most women.
Confession: I have always lusted over handbags from Marc Jacobs… Every single one is ten million dollars too expensive for my life at the moment, or even for a Christmas present unless the elves are staying up past their bedtime this year. But if someone really wanted to get me one, of course…
Okay, or more like gift cards for bookstores for those of us who are big nerds and love to curl up with a good book? I personally love buying real, paper books, but gosh they’re expensive these days.
What woman doesn’t want to be told she smells nice? Truth be told, more often than not I smell like maple syrup, but still… For some reason, perfume is one of the things I never like buying for myself… but I’m running low. Solid picks: Yves St. Laurent Opium and Miss Dior Cherie.
I think that’s it, you guys! I’m going to spend the rest of the day plotting how I can convince Santa to deliver on all these wishes. Happy Friday!
ps. Happy birthday mom!!!!
What’s on your holiday wish list??
