Ash Wednesday things

It’s Ash Wednesday. If you’re not into that sorta thing, that’s cool, but this means that we have 40 days til Easter now, i.e. SPRING. Best news I heard all week.

1. Lent is typically a time to give stuff up or do something to improve yourself… The last few years, I’ve chosen the latter. For the next 40 days, I’m planning to do yoga 3-4 times a week. 🙂

(Random message found in a dressing room when I was shopping a few weeks ago.)

I think it’ll be a great way to remind myself to stay present (one of my New Year’s goals) and positive, and honor my body.

2. I have been a pizza FIEND since my visit to Florida. I can’t get enough.

Last night, I met up with Beth and another friend (Beth’s sis, Louisa) for some pizza at Fire Works Pizza in Arlington. It was pretty good, although definitely not as good as a certain Florida pizza chain I’m obsessed with.

3. Some bottle cap wisdom, courtesy of Penpal.

“Love where you live and live where you love.”

4. I finally hung up two of my favorite pictures in my bedroom.

They’re from my room back in Vegas… Aren’t they cute?

5. My allergies are going NUTS. My face looks like I was stung by a jellyfish every morning. Sexy, right?

6. I’m a sucker for quotes.

7. I haven’t cooked in ages it feels like, besides some baking in Florida and an easy peasy stir fry meal I’d whipped up for Penpal and I.

I need to get my booty back into the kitchen, asap.

8. I miss this view.

I’m BEYOND thrilled Penpal is moving to D.C., but I sure will miss visiting Florida’s sunshine and beaches.

9. Does anyone else find this new commercial from Liquid-Plumr kinda awkward??

 10. Have you followed me on Twitter or “Liked” the blog on Facebook yet? Get to it! 😀

Okay, work time!

What are your Wednesday things? If you participate, are you giving up anything for Lent?

I didn’t know you had the option to do something to improve yourself for Lent. I thought it was just giving something up. That’s a good one then. I love quotes too. They had a ton up on the walls when I visited the Olympic Training facilities in Colorado Springs, and I LOVED them!

I like the idea of improving something about yourself rather than giving something up. I’ll be thinking about that all day and try to come up with something because I don’t really like the idea of giving something up.
