My First Fix

It’s like Christmas all over again!

IMG_5925I was literally giddy when I opened my door and saw that my first Stitch Fix had been delivered. It had actually completely slipped my mind that it was scheduled to be delivered around today’s date.

Here’s a (messy) glimpse of the goods!image

To be honest, right off the bat, I was a little unsure how these clothes might actually work for me. I’m sort of an online shopper skeptic at heart. Nevertheless, I rifled through the box hopeful the clothes would fit and actually mesh with my style. I saw that Stitch Fix included a note that explained each piece that was selected in my Fix, as well as the advice to try everything on before making a decision.IMG_5937

I loved the personal touches, and seriously guys, they were right! Things look SO much better when you actually try them on.

I tried everything on multiple times, and am not even sure which ones to keep – only one piece? A couple? I mean, it can get pricey, so I would never keep the whole Fix that was sent to me, and I actually wasn’t a fan of the way one camel-colored sweater fit/felt, making at least that decision easy. I did really like one black cowl neck shirt included, and I’m eager to wear it this week!

As I’ve said before, I’m not by any means a natural fashion blogger (aka not one at all) nor do I feel like this is my calling, so that whole “Let me show you my outfit by taking a self-iPhone-portrait!” thing does not come easy to me, and I don’t really like doing it.IMG_5930

I’m more a make-weird-faces/laugh-hideously kind of person in solo camera situations than interested in making this blog all about solo glamour shots of myself, so I chose not to include any in this post – though that probably would’ve been more helpful to give you all a better idea of the type of items I was mailed, eh? ;-)

Bottom line: Stitch Fix gives you a lot of bang for your buck, and in no way skimps on the personal attention and care they promise. The quality of the clothes which were included in my box as well as the connection I felt with my “stylist” are worth any hassle (aka finding time in my schedule to get to the Post Office) that might be associated with returning any items I end up not keeping in the next couple days.

(Note: I was in no way compensated for my review or asked to speak about my Fix… Stitch Fix has no idea I’m blogging about this; I just plain ol’ appreciate the service and want to share my experience with you all.)

I’m glad I jumped on the Stitch Fix bandwagon – it’s been a fun experience so far! Feel free to use my referral code (http://stitchfix.com/sign_up?referrer_id=3040052) if you end up jumping on it as well!

Happy Tuesday!

P.S. Thanks everyone for your info about the GW Parkway Classic yesterday (and for expressing your mutual love for the latest Bachelor, Sean)!
