Hi!
So clearly I’m not on the Paleo wagon right now, just in case any of those photos from this weekend’s wedding weren’t a clear enough indication. I’m okay with that though, and I’m fine with just going with the flow. Eating veggies at every meal possible, grains in moderation, and peanut butter at breakfast.
Some days I’m Paleo by accident, sometimes not one bite of meat shows up on my plate. Anyways, regardless of Paleo or not, I’m always looking for a snack… usually around 3pm.
Oh, you too? Great.
Recently the sweet folks at Larabar were kind enough to send me some of their Uber bars to try out. Larabars have long been one of my go-to bars, and I’ve found that they make for a fantastic {Paleo-friendly} snack.
Almost all Larabars are Paleo, with the exception of the few that contain peanuts or dairy (like the chocolate cookie dough flavor). The Uber bars are made primarily of nuts, honey, and dried fruit, and reminded me of a grown-up version of a candy bar or these chewy, nut bars I used to eat when I was younger (only minus the corn syrup).
Out of the four flavors I sampled [cherry cobbler, roasted nut roll, bananas foster, and apple turnover], the roasted nut roll was my very favorite!
They were all pretty yummy though. In my opinion, the Uber bars are heartier than the standard Larabar, and far more filling. This is helpful for a person who’s hungry every 2 hours (hiiii!). The only complaint I had was that they tasted a teensy bit too salty in some bites.
What I especially like about all Larabar bars is that they make me feel like I’m not being lazy by reaching to a bar as a snack instead of whipping up something with whole foods…… because they ARE whole foods (and sometimes, in my cubicle, I am lazy). We all win here.
Happy Wednesday!
What are your favorite snack bars? I also love Kind bars and Pure bars!
**Although Larabar sent me these bars at no expense to myself, views are 100% my own.

I still haven’t tried these, but really want to! Thanks for the review!
Yum!!! The roasted but roll sounds delicious, but bananas foster sounds pretty good, too
I love Kind bars too!! Yum. The blueberry one is my fave.
I love the dark chocolate cherry ones!
I love, love, LOVE Larabar Ubers. The banas foster variety is, in my humble opinion, sublime. (I agree, though, that they can sometimes be a wee bit too salty.) KIND bars are also fantastic – I just polished one off before writing this, so I obviously agree with you on that point, too.
